Getting around San Francisco
San Francisco has a superior transport system. The MUNI system consists of buses, light rail, and the most famous cable cars that can take you to practically any part of the city. Given the convenient access of all transit, think about getting a Clipper Card. In case you are planning to visit the Bay Area other than San Francisco, I suggest renting a car and taking a day trip to Napa Valley, Big Sur, or the coastal towns. But when you want to go sightseeing around the city, which includes walking, using buses, or taxis at times.
Is San Francisco expensive?
San Francisco is a pretty expensive city in the United States and budgeting matters. But most of the greatest sites in the city are free or cheap, as there is parks, sightseeing spots, and districts that are best explored on foot.
Seriously consider buying a San Francisco CityPASS when you will visit numerous big attractions. It has admission to some of the best sights and even saves you up to 45 percent on combined admission fees. But it’s also difficult to find parking on the San Francisco streets, so often times you would most likely end up leaning towards Ubering.
